Glamping provides a great alternative romantic experience!
It’s nice to do something a bit different. Something that awakens the senses and reignites your adventurous side. A stay in yurts includes the romantic classics like long walks, candles, and time alone. PLUS lovely extras like watching the stars through the roof crown of the yurt and soaking in an eco-friendly hot tub. A relaxing romantic glamping experience could be just the thing you and your other half need.
We have launched a special romantic glamping package at Country Bumpkin Yurts to enable you to reconnect with each other and reconnect with nature. It costs £275 for a mid-week break or £295 for a weekend break.
Our romantic package includes:
- 2 nights in Puddleduck Yurt – our beautiful 14ft yurt with a king-sized bed.
- A chilled bottle of Prosecco on arrival
- The hot tub ready and reserved for you
- Afternoon tea delivered to your yurt
- Dinner out in Market Harborough in one of our favourite restaurants; Meatcure or The Waterfront (up to the value of £25).
You could choose to spend your glamping break just curled up in the yurt and relaxing on Waterloo Cottage Farm, or you could go exploring. However, this is our itinerary suggestion for the ultimate romantic glamping break:
Day one
Relax and explore the site. Go and say hello to the gorgeous highland cows. Pop open the bottle of bubbly and take in the fresh air. We recommend having a BBQ for dinner to enjoy alfresco dining. NB, We provide BBQs but you’ll need to bring some charcoal.
Once the wood-burning hot tub is as hot as you like, take a dip as the sun goes down and watch the stars come out above. Day one is all about unwinding.
Day two
Have a lay-in and listen to the birds. Cook yoursleves some breakfast using the amazing bacon from Waterloo Cottage Farm shop. Bacon and eggs for breakfast are a classic whether camping, glamping or at home.
Why not have afternoon tea delivered to your yurt in the early afternoon? You could have this as your lunch; it’s pretty filling. It includes sandwiches, scones, and cakes. And loose leaf tea, of course.
Then stroll down The Brampton Valley Way into Market Harborough. This is a beautiful walk that will take you about an hour. The bridleway is lined with fields and spinneys which you can explore to your heart’s content. When you get to Market Harborough, you can have a good mooch. It is a delightful town. The Old Grammar School is worth a look – it’s very ‘instagramable’.
Head to dinner at Meatcure or The Waterfront. As part of the package we will cover £25 of the bill, you only need to top up the rest if you spend more than that. Meatcure is really funky and fantastic for burgers. Honestly, the best burgers around! And they are a wonderful restaurant that shares our passion for using local produce. The Waterfront is great if you want to eat somewhere a bit more conventional. Their menu covers all the bases and the food is high quality. They are located at Union Wharf, on the canal, so it’s quite a romantic setting.
Head back to the yurt for a relaxing candlelit evening.
Final day
Check out is 11 am so there is more than enough time for another good breakfast. Maybe try the Waterloo Cottage sausages this time. Then say your goodbyes to the cute highland calves and piggies and start to make your way home.
