So what can you expect when you book an alternative weekend break with Country Bumpkin Yurts?
A peaceful retreat
We have 3 enchanting yurts – Puddleduck (sleeps 2), Nutkin and Ginger & Pickles (both sleep 4-6). Each of these has proper beds with all the linen. No sleeping on roll mats or futons during your posh camping experience. They also have log-burning stoves inside to keep you warm (and create a bit of romance). With fairly-lights and candles galore you will feel your stress melt away.
Back to nature
One of the best things about glamping is the closeness to nature. You can get tucked up in your king size bed and listen to the owls outside. Or sit around the fire-pit and watch the bats fly across the sky. During the day, you can go on a nature trail or simply sit back and watch the piglets play in the field next door. Remember to bring wellies and a rain coat – we all know how unpredictable British weather can be!
Fun…and a little bit different
Glamping is a bit different which makes it extra fun. We’ve added extras to make it even more fun! Like our picnic hamper. We’ll prepare a whole picnic for you in one of our lovely wicker baskets and send you on your way to enjoy it wherever you like. Later, when the kids have gone to bed after having fun on their nature trail, it’s time for the adults to relax. An evening with a bottle of local wine and a soak in the eco-friendly wood-burning hot tub is sure to be one of your highlights. Glamping with a hot tub – who wouldn’t?
If you’re a bit more adventurous why not visit one of the alternative activities in the local area. The nearby tank paintball experience at Armageddon is certainly an exciting option! Or hire a canal boat for the day and amble along the Grand Union Canal.
Luxury camping
We have everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We have two bathroom cabins. These each have showers, wash basins and eco-toilets. And we have a shared kitchen cabin. This has electric hobs, a toaster and a fridge to keep all your food cool. We have some great one-pot recipe books which you can use for inspiration too. The tents themselves have solar panels so you will have plenty of lighting when you need it. This will also allow you to charge your phone in the yurt (unless you’re planning on ‘forgetting’ to charge your phone so you can’t receive those work emails). Have we mentioned the hot tub?
